Jansā

Josep Mª Jansà López del Vallado, is MD, PHD specialized in Preventive Medicine and Public Health. At present is Director of the Coordinating Centre for Alerts and Health Emergencies at The Ministry of Health Social Policy and Equality in Spain. Associate professor at the School of Medicine in the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). Co Director of the Master on International Health from the University of Barcelona and the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and Coordinator of the Diploma in Health Cooperation and Medical Geography at the UAB. Vice president of the FESTMIH and Delegate of the SEMTSI at this Federation. He has held several positions in different areas on Public Health at local level in the Barcelona Public Health Agency, Regional level at the Health Department on the Catalan Government and International level as Consultant in different companies. Their main areas on expertise are epidemiology of infectious diseases, epidemiologic surveillance, Community Health, Drug Abuse, non substance dependencies international health, migrant’s health and public health alerts and emergencies preparedness. He has worked in Eastern Europe, Latin America and Africa as International International Consultant and cooperating medical. He has directed and participated in research projects mainly in the areas of tuberculosis and migrants health. He has more than 60 medical indexed publications and other scientific publications. He has directed several doctoral theses and participated in multiple forums on public health and international health at national and international levels. He has also been member and occupied different positions in NGOS and scientific societies. He has also participated in the organization of conferences and congresses in Public Health and International Health
